At Saint Joseph School we have taken advantage of the expanded ranks and permissions that debuted with Issue 6 "Along Came A Spider." Though all ranks are bound by our Code of Conduct, each rank carries a significance that is explained below.

Freshman

All students begin their tenure at St. Joe's as a Freshman. For the first 30 days a student is enrolled, this rank is considered probationary (see our forum guide So I'm a Probationary Member... for information on the probationary period). Though freshmen are typically the lowest level students, a student of any level will begin at the rank of Freshman. Freshmen have no responsibilities per se, and they have no powers to recruit, promote, demote, kick or anything else. However, with only a minimum of effort, a Freshman may rise in rank to become...

Sophomore

Sophomores have proven themselves to the school community. A Freshman becomes a Sophomore by meeting all the following criteria.

Enrollment in the supergroup for no less than 30 days.

Put together your official Saint Joseph School uniform, either at creation or by visiting Icon.

Register on the forums, and post your bio and backstory in the Student Information forum.

Earn 15,000 prestige points for Saint Joseph School in combat.

Meet with the Student Council to discuss your roleplaying goals and the future of your character in the SJS community.

Be recommended for promotion by the Student Council.

Sophomores are only nominally different from Freshmen. They cannot add, drop, promote or demote other students. However, Sophomores are expected to help out Freshmen and start participating in storylines both in-game and on the forum. Sophomores may also access the storage items in the supergroup base. Sophomores who continue to distinguish themselves may be invited to move up and become…

Upperclassman

Upperclassmen are the most active group at St. Joe's. A Sophomore can become an Upperclassman by fulfilling all of the following criteria.

Be at least security level 30.

Show active participation in forum discussions and polls.

Show active participation in the SJS environment and storylines, either in-game, on our forums, or both.

Accept the heightened levels of responsibility as described in our Code of Conduct Addendum for Upperclassmen.

Earn 150,000 prestige points for Saint Joseph School in combat.

Meet with the Student Council to discuss your roleplaying goals and the future of your character in the SJS community.

Be recommended for promotion by the Student Council.

Upperclassmen can enroll new students, change the MoTD, and have access to a special forum for their use. Upperclassmen are expected to take an active role in storyline roleplaying, and to begin their own storylines when appropriate. Most students will not rise above this rank, but three times a year, the upperclassmen are offered the opportunity to become...

Student Council

Every four months, Saint Joseph School elects a Student Council to assist with running the supergroup. The Student Council is the model for the SG, representing the epitome of both high roleplaying standards and in-game play. Any Upperclassman is eligible to run for Student Council, as long as they meet the following criteria:

Be in good standing.

Be able to enter the base.

Be able to consistently maintain a higher level of activity in game and on the forums than is required for other ranks.

Feel comfortable with authority and the responsibility authority brings.

Be able and willing to devote at least 2-5 hours each week to Student Council duties.

Agree to abide by the Code of Conduct Addendum as it applies to the Student Council.

Student Council have all the powers of the upperclassmen, and may also promote, demote, and kick members. Student Council may edit the base and have access to a special section of the forum for their use. They are leaders and guides for all ranks below them. But even greater still is the mysterious rank known as...

This rank is not attainable for members at this time. If the rank becomes available, this page will be updated with the requirements.
