Paragon City - and Saint Joseph School - proved to be the perfect environment for the eager young Rooster. The rigors and discipline of the school offered him comfort in its structure, and his training improved by leaps and bounds with the prospect of becoming a licensed hero. Even ...

Peerless - The Tale of Jade Rooster

Little is known of the origin of the boy named Jade Rooster. Orphaned or abandoned, he was left as an infant at the doorstep of an enigmatic hermit and martial sage known as Master Lei, the August Personage of Thunder. A sour old man of untold age, Lei had long since retreated from ...

Jade broke into a trot as the group gathered, coming to rest in a spot that formed something of a circle with everyone. His posture relaxed and ready, he focused his attention on Francis with a respectful silence.
Well, it was almost silence. A tilt of the head allowed Rooster to murmur something ...

A soft creaking noise from the gymnasium doors gave Rooster away as he peeked his head out into the open. What had he gotten himself into this time?
Still, he thought, If I'm going to do something, I'm gonna be the best!
With one last deep breath, he strode out onto the field and marched his way ...

The one problem with training in the school pool was the lack of clocks.
A damp figure swung through the gymnasium doorway and leapt into the top tier of bleachers, leaving a gust of wind that carried with it the faint chemical smell of chlorine. The Saint Joseph insignia embroidered on the school ...
