What does it take to get mugged around here?

"I got it!" Sam asked with enthusiasm as Ves met her at their lockers. "Bryan was able to get me a list of where the most purse thefts happen in the city. Today's the day! I just know it."

[Vesper Fiend]

Ves grinned back as she shuffled books in and out of her locker. "Great! We'll hafta to owe him one for that. You said you might get a purse for it. Did you find one that makes a good target?"

[Blitzen]

"Louie someone!" Sam said proudly, holding up the handbag. "It came from Valentina someone, so I figure it's gotta be pricey. And way classier than the white sack with a dollar sign on it."

[Vesper Fiend]

"Huh. So you've got a bag named 'Someone' from a lady named 'Someone?' How's that make it more muggable? You know, besides bein' classier than a sack." Ves grinned as she inspected the bag casually. "Did you hafta pay for that? It sounds kinda expensive."

[Blitzen]

"Things sometimes make more sense before you repeat 'em back to me." Sam smiled.

"Says right here this is a Louis Vuitton, and Valentina near had a coronary when I tried to put a bottle of coke back in it. I mean, it's not like I didn't close it tight enough or anything, but yeah, I think they're on the pricey side. So no, I didn't pay for it, I had to bring it to some red carpet thing or whatever and then she wrinkled her nose and said "keep it" when I pulled my tennis shoes out of it. I mean, they were brand new keds, just in case my feet started to hurt on the way home." *shrugs* "And Tony said we look too confident. So I figure if we go to Kings Row, and I think about how I'd look if I got a pop quiz in math, that should totally take care of that problem."

[Vesper Fiend]

"Sorry, Sam, I couldn't resist. Isn't Valentina that lady..." Ves trailed off in mid-thought. "Well, from what I've heard, she sounds all kindsa uppity, but if it's that expensive, that'll just scream out money even more."

She stopped and pondered for a moment. "Maybe if you're thinkin' math tests, I could work on history, unless that 1492 thing pops into my head, 'cause that's just too funny. It might not help so much if I start laughin' when someone tries to stop us. Maybe we should talk about somethin' that'd get their attention. Shoes and shoppin' and maybe new credit cards? That should get some notice, right?"
