Blitz Team Powerball Practice

[Damian Singleton]

Damian walked into the gym tossing his gym bag past the out of bounds line on the court. He walked center court palming a basketball in his right hand. He looked around the gym.

"Hope they remembered what time practice was." He sighed as he began to dribble the ball. He dribbled it behind his back as he walked to the arch (three-point line). He brought the ball back around to the front bouncing it from hand to hand. He left the ground letting the ball roll off his finger tips, it sailed to the hoop, bouncing off the rim, "ah damn," he said as he missed the shot, the ball bouncing into the air as he ran to it to grab the rebound.

Snatching the ball out of the air he came back to the ground. He secured the rebound mocking to look around to find an open teammate. He posted up, letting the ball hit the ground as he picked up a trott to the other end of the court. He stopped at the three point line and pulled another jumper, it went seamless into the hoop, the net making its swoosh sound.

"OK, workin' off tha cobwebs." Damian said with excitement as he went to grab the ball, he dribbled it through his legs as he took it to the half court line and turned around to come back to the net. He looked at the hoop as he broke down, dribbling the ball between his legs and back and forth from left to right hand in front of him.

He thought about the team that he was going to be playing against, they were all his friends, which would make it fun, and with powers turned on...it would be something that would make basketball something totally different. He smiled as he thought about his own team, more friends...and with some great abilities. He couldn't wait to play, he thought as he reached the three point arch once again, this time teleporting in a spark of electricity from his spot to the hoop, dunking the ball. He slapped the backboard before dropping to the ground.

"Oh, this is gonna be hella fun."

[Roy Cale]

"Nice moves, D."

Roy grinned at him as he watched him from the doorway, entering after a moment or two.

Damian looked up at Roy, picking up the ball as he rolled towards him. "Eh Rockman, glad ya could make it." He smiled as he passed the basketball towards him.

[Roy Cale]

Roy catches the Ball with both hands, looking it over briefly.
"Well if anyone needs practice it's me." He says with a laugh, bouncing the ball a few times before passing it back.

[Damian Singleton]

Catches the ball, and dribbles it. "Eh, that's what we are here for...we're gonna wait for everyone else ta show up, and then we will go from there."

[Thunder Cascade]

Casey wanders in not far behind. "Hey, guys. Sorry I'm-..." He glances around, looking for the rest of the team, then chuckles. "Guess I'm not late. Huh."

[Damian Singleton]

Damian looked at Case as he walks into the gym, glad to see another teammate walk in. "Naw, dude...ya not late, we are still waiting for Nick and Taylor."

[Roy Cale]

"Hey Case. Just got her myself."
Waves a little at him.

[Taylor Blevins]

Taylor lopes in casually a few minutes after Case, either unaware of or just indifferent of the time. He lets out a little lopsided grin as he sees his teammates throwing the ball around.

"Hey, guys. Is Nick going to make it today?"

[Nick Schneider]

Nick stumbled in about five minutes after Taylor did, nose deep in a thin, wide leafed book entitled "The Basics of Basketball: A guide to tactics, plays, and strategies." A drawstring bag hung over his left shoulder, packed until bulging with gym clothes, and the silhouettes of books which were most likely similar to the one he was reading at the moment. Looking up from his book, he blushed and bit his lip, just now realizing the time. Setting the book and the drawstring bag down on the floor, he sent Damian a few signs of apology.

"Sorry. Lost track of time. Trying to learn my spot. Where do we start?"

[Damian Singleton]

Damian looked up at Nick and then over to the book that he had placed on the ground. He smiled turning his attention back to Nick and shot back from signs.

"Hey, its ok Nick."

He looked back to the group..."Nick wants to know where we are going to start off at. I feel like running, so...we are gonna start off with like 25 laps around the gym. We are definitely gonna need stamina if we want to win."

[Roy Cale]

"Laps?" Roy sighs and shakes his head a little. "Alright." Might as well get'em over with right?

[Thunder Cascade]

Casey nods. "Couldn't hurt to actually get warmed up, I guess..." He shrugs and breaks into a measured jog.

[Taylor Blevins]

Taylor shoots Damian a grin. "Straight to the point. Nice. Let me get my game face on."

He flings off his shoes and shirt, tucking them behind a row of bleachers. He draws a couple of deep breaths and starts to grow taller, larger, hairier. The change to his hybrid form only takes about ten seconds, but it looks shockingly unpleasant to experience. Taylor either grins or grimaces his way through. It's hard to read his expression. When it's over, he lopes into a steady jog with the other boys.

Damian looked at Taylor as he transformed into his wolf form. His mouth gaped open, half impressed half discomforted. "Dude, that looked like it hurt like hell."

He collected himself, shaking his head to literally shake the vision loose from his retina. He took off behind the rest of the team in a steady jog, but not before waving for Nick to follow.
