Yeah... Lycia and I are stuck in the old dorms which is really drafty and cold. A bit hard on a body, ya know?

Okay, folks.
We are actually growing too fast for this particular web-dame to cope.
Sorry, Jubilation. Honestly.
I thought at first I could help by putting different archetypes and powersets into different rooms. That's what the shcool would do. But as we've grown, in leaps and bounds, I cannot keep up.
Some people are now rooming with people who are really inactive. And that stinks.
So, anyway, a change of plans.
Talk to each other. Room with people you like to RP with. And just post the results of these talks on this thread. At least then there can be relationship fuel for people.
I will update the topmost post to reflect your choices. This may mean that certain quads will break apart and come back together, which is fine with me. I am more interested in having quads with personality at this point.
Anyway, start talking to your schoolmates and just let me know.

(OOC: Mimi, I'd like to get Johnny an official dorm assignment. Due to character background and recent role-playing issues would it at all be possible that he has a corner room all to himself, with the room next door being kept empty on purpose?)
"Headmaster Winston, or do you prefer, Sir Winston?,..." the non-descript man in the black suit and tie begins without awaiting a reply, "How good of you to see us on such short notice." Taking a seat opposite the school administrator, he politely declines an offer of mid-afternoon tea.
His partner, a well-built, tall man in sunglasses and wearing the same suit, completely ignores the offer and leans forward, sliding an envelope across the headmaster's desk.
As the headmaster opens the package and begins to look through the contents, the first man continues, "I'm sure that you'll find this arrangement to be... suitable? The boy is to have his own room in seclusion, preferably with some sort of buffer between him and the other students. Very dangerous.. you understand?"
With a bit of bluster and incredulity, the ex-RAF knight replies, "This is most unusual gentlemen. Who did you say you work for?"
Momentarily annoyed, the first man looks up and back at the second, who has not taken a seat, but rather is still standing in an imposing matter. The second doesn't respond.
"Let's just say that we're loosely affiliated with M.A.G.I. You can contact their local field office to verify our credentials."
The headmaster's british accent grows thicker at his obvious agitation. "Well... I'm sure that something can be arranged, but I am going to check on this, you understand?"
"Of course," the seated man replies in a manner that evokes the image of dry, toasted bread. "We'll be in touch soon to make sure that all of the proper arrangements have been made. You may want to pay special attention to the section on reinforcing the room." Rising from the seat and taking something out of his jacket pocket he continues, "Here, take my card. If you need anything concerning the boy, just call. Have a nice day."
The headmaster takes the plain business card with a frown as the two men depart his office. He puts it down and pushes away the envelope, steepling his fingers under his chin as he sighs deeply.
Trouble, no question about it!

This would be how it would look.
Now, here is the question: former or inactive students. The boys have done a resonably lousy job of writing any fiction that happens in their dorms. The girls have firmly established people in different quads and talked about it.
So, if someone is inactive or removed from the roster, but they have an appeal, do we keep them in a quad if fiction puts them there? For instance, Moth continued to live in Mimi's quad, even when she was gone for 100 days. Why? Because I like the character, took a little ownership, and kinda NPC'd her for that time.
If the person is not in fiction, and no one cares, why do we even maintain this list?
This is removing everyone who is no longer an active student at SJS.Men's Dormitory:

i think its a good idea to maintain the list, even if it does get to be a bit of a trial with people coming and going and people quad'ed up that never write anything together.
at the very least i find that it gives a sense of *place* in the SJS. you belong to X quad with Y roommates. even if you never meet the people in question, you have a connection.
i mean, i haven't written any fiction really that deals with Lucia (sorry Lucky!) and NO fiction that includes Nissa but they are still my quadmates and i refer to them that way.
maybe the boys don't connect like that, but i'm pretty sure most of the girls do. its a mental thing, hey? or maybe it's just a Stasi thing...
"So pay attention to me; I don't talk for my health."
"I want you on my team."

The guys do it too. Glacial and Obs are roomies and they Rp it all the time. I like the Quadmates idea. I use it. I just don't know moth or Sparks yet.. I've kinda got an Idea what your like mimi. And I work off of that. Like hanging out with your friends Quadmates could have little get togethers too. And some People may want nothing to do with them. Its there call on how their character is played out.

Dearest Heavenly Father;
I know your awfully busy right now,
But all I ask is for one small thing now,
Please Heavenly Father,
Please take care of my friends at this time.

Glace and I used to refer to Linebacker Bill all the time. Used to threaten to put Bill's shoes under beds, etc. We've had some ideas for threads with the Quad, but just haven't gotten connected to hash them out.
Even in college, when living in the dorms, that had this type of set up (although it was 4 pods with two guys each, connected to common areas), there were people that I never got to know. Not because of dislike etc, but just simply, they had different schedules or travelled in different circles.
