"Now THAT'S how you play football!" Diyar jumped up off Hades as the QB rolled onto his back. A few Titan players came over to help him up to his feet as Diyar hovered over him.

Hades brushed himself off before turning away in frustration. "Damn freak..."

Diyar stopped mid stride, turning and yelling back at Hades. "Freak, huh? I've got your number, prick." A small fire flared behind Diyar's eyes as they narrowed before he turned back around to go to the bench. "...xêvik..."

Fourth Quarter

The beginning of the fourth quarter, the Titans fans cheered as the players on the home team held four fingers in the air, to the sound of a simulated stampede and thunder roaring through the speakers at the corners of the field.

This was the point of the game where either team sealed the others fate. It was time to put up or shut up, and the Flyers had to put up if they wanted to take this game home, bringing the game within a three point reach made things seem more feasible for them though.

The Flyer’s offense ran out onto the field, coach Waters stopping Stephen Reed right before he stepped out.

“Time to drop that nuke Reed” coach Waters said looking at his QB. “Get it done.”

Reed shook his head in agreement with the coach and ran out on to the field. The rest of the offense was already in the huddle waiting for him.

Reed looked around the huddle, “Coach says it’s time to drop the nuke,” He smiled from behind his facemask, “Lets shut ‘em up. Pound it down there throat Oby.”

“Break” the offense yelled in unison, then turned around and walked up to the line of scrimmage.

The Titan defense tried to break the concentration of the flyers in hopes that they could throw them off of their game. But, it made no affect. Receiving the hike from the center, Reed turned around and handed the ball off to Dubois, who forced the ball up the middle for a 15 yard gain, taking the ball from the flyer 35 to the 50 yard line.

Coach Waters had given the offense the game plan earlier, “keep it on the ground until they can stop it.” That’s just what they did as Reed faked the hand-off to Dubois up the middle. Quickly stepping forward and pitching the ball off to Bartel who was running toward the right side. Once Bartel hit the sideline he cut up, spinning of the Titan outside linebacker before getting hit by the free safety Jacob Atlas.

“Good Run…Good Run!” Coach Waters yelled from the sidelines as the Flyers picked up another 20 yards moving them to the Titan 30.

Back in the huddle Reed slapped Bartel across the helmet, giving him a good run. “We’re gonna do something different this time.” He spoke out to the huddle. On the break the Flyer offense approached the line once again. The flyer crowd cheered for their team at the top of their lungs, with the Flyer cheerleading squad leading them.

The Titan crowd did their best to try once again to break the Flyers out of their concentration, booing, and blowing air horns as they sat anxiously, waiting to see what the flyers were going to pull next. Keeping it on the ground was the best bet, because the Titans still hadn’t found a way to suppress the Flyer running game.

Stephen Reed once again faked the ball up the middle with Oby. This time instead of pitching the ball out to Bartel, he sweep out to the left; Bartel beside him as if he were following him, running alongside him. The Titan defense, read the play, and the defensive end did his job, he went after Reed. The only problem was, so did the Outside linebacker, which left Bartel open.

As they both connected with Reed, he pitched the ball out to Bartel, who was wide open. The only thing that stood between him and a touchdown was the grass.

Crossing the goal line Bartel spiked the ball as the referees blew their whistles signifying the touchdown.

The Flyers took their first lead of the game, Sam making it a four point lead after making the point after.

Shortly after the ball was received by the Titans, the Flyer D took the field, lining up at their own 45.

“D-fence” The Flyer cheerleaders cheered, getting the fans in the stands to follow them.

It was another point in the game where the Flyer D had to hold things down, and once again keep the Titans from scoring. The defense knew that it would more than likely be an air attack because the ground attacks weren’t going anywhere.

The Defense broke their huddle, running up to the line of scrimmage. The Titan O-line stayed quiet, there was no junk talking this time. But, there was static in the air as the teams were fired up.

The Flyer Defense, made the Titans go 3 downs. On the fourth down the Titans opt to go for it, rather tha kick the field goal that they were in range for. This proved to be another faulty move as the flyers got the ball back.

The offense took the field again, looking to score; they had to seal the game. In the huddle Reed called the play that Coach Waters wanted him to do. Looking over to the defense Reed smiled and he yelled hike. The ball was snapped into his hands by McCarty who blasted off the line of scrimmage.

McCarty put the defensive tackle on the ground and didn’t lose a step as he ran straight for the middle linebacker.

Dubois followed him the whole way, until he was open and was able to break for the sideline. The speedy fullback broke into the open, where he would soon be met by the Titan free safety Jacob Atlas.

“You just don’t learn do you” Atlas yelled as he neared Oby. Dropping his shoulder and lowering his helmet Dubois blasted through the hard hitting free safety, not losing a beat as he took the ball all the way to the end zone.

Sam came in and kicked the field goal, taking the flyers up again. After the kick-off the Flyers D took the field again.

The animosity between the Flyer D and the Titan offense could be felt as both sides began talking trash to one another again.

The Titans tried to gain some yardage the first two downs but were unsuccessful as the flyer D still managed to press them. On the 3 down, the Titans took to the air. The pass of course going in the direction of Clark. Unfortunately, the pass fell short, causing Clark to have to stop and run back in the direction to try and catch it. Once there Clark left the ground jumping into the air to catch the pass. Mistake, Clarks hands latched onto the ball, but quickly let go as Singleton hit the wide receiver in the legs causing him to flip backwards.

The referees waved the incomplete pass as the defense came over to Singleton congratulating him. “Way to be there Dozer,” Hannigan yelled slapping him across the helmet. Clark gave Singleton an evil look as he picked himself up off the ground and walked back over to his huddle.

The Titan offense did not leave the field, there were going to go for it, once again. The Titans stacked Damian’s side, again causing Brown to cover down on Ceto. Hades received the snap and took his steps, as he once again looked into the area of Clark and Ceto. He released the ball but just as he released, he was blindsided once again by Diyar. The ball left the hands of Hades, wobbling in the air.

It was snatched out of the sky by Hannigan who took it a couple of yards before he was brought down.

“Offense” Coach Waters yelled “bring it home.”

The offense ran out onto the field, Reed looked up at the clock, they had five minutes left. Huddling the team Reed looked over them, telling them good come back. “Let’s score fast and seal this.” He looked over to Bryan, “your turn…READY”

“Break” the offense roared.

Luckily for the Flyers they had been rushing all night, and when they did pass it was short, so the Titans weren’t expecting a long pass. Which is just what the Flyers gave them, receiving the snap; Reed threw the ball deep down the side line. Baxter was covered by Atlas, who was picking up for the corner since he blitzed.

Jumping into the air Bryan manage to get one hand on the ball, ripping it out of the sky as he fell back to the ground spinning off of Atlas and running the extra 20 yards to the end zone.

The extra point was good, and the kick off team once again took the field. Clark received the ball and took it up as far as he could, managing to get it to their own 45.

The Titans had no time, so they went for a long bomb. Putting two receivers on each side once again. Once the snap was received the ball once again spiraled through the air, this time to the hands of Ceto which was quickly deflected by Brown, the ball still airborne was snatched out of the sky by Singleton who managed to take it couple of yards before being hit by Hades. The clock eventually running out of time.

Diyar crashed on top of Hades again, popping his head up to watch the ball as it wobbled in the air and was snatched by Biff. He grinned, then turned back to the QB, who was still blinking his eyes in a daze.

"Hello there! Come here often?"

Diyar pushed himself up, using the distraction of Biff's run to use the other boy's facemask as a handle to push himself up, grinning and cheering with the rest of his teammates.
