Kali watches the next girl in line go through her routine.
Her moves are awesome! Kali exclaims out loud.
Oby nudges her and making a motion for her to go sign in at the table
The dark haired girl hovers over the top trying not to interupt the routine going on and moves quickly over the crowd , lowering down next to Cricket.
"I gues I need to sign a paper?" she tells Cricket quietly.
Cricket whispers to Franky and slides the paper towards Kali who in turn signs quickly so it can be returned.
Before Kali rises to make her way back to the bleachers Cricket tugs her arm and whispers in her ear "you sure youre feeling up to this Kal?"
Kali smiles and nods at her..." yup Im gonna do this"
She raises and returns to her seat in the bleachers.

Tsst... Jack Hissed to get Biff's attention.
When Biff looks over Jack nods towards Oby leading Kali across the floor in front of the bleachers by the hand.
Biff leans in and whispers.
"That looks friendly" he says with a concerned brow.
"I thought he might be a problem... they had been friends once... but Kali said that it was over." Jack responded quietly.
"Well, you gonna go it alone or you want help?" Asked Biff.
"I would rather scare him with all of us, than actually have to hurt him... though I'd rather leave it for now... no lines have been crossed yet. Hopefully he is smart enough not to mess with my girl... ...which reminds me, next time you see Stoned, double him over for me."

"Huh??"
There had to be a mistake. JR quickly loped down the bleachers two or three rows at a time, making his way over to the table with a curious furrow in his brow.
"Frankie, I didn't sign up," Rooster insisted at a loud murmur, flushing at the thought of the crowd's eyes even now, "Are you sure that isn't Kali Jade?"
"Be- Besides, I can't do this kinda stuff with everyone watching. I can barely dance!"

Francis regarded the boy so aptly called Jade Rooster with a slightly raised eyebrow and a smirk. Glancing back down at the list she held it up.
"Sorry, Rooster. Looks like you've been tried in absentia. I hope you like Lords of Acid. Unless of course you have any requests?"
She playfully nudged Cricket and shot Lycia a look.
"Of course you can always say no. Just need to hear you loud and clear. Or...."
She motioned out onto the gym floor.
"You can show me those famous Rooster moves I keep hearing about."

"Mmph." It was clear pleading was going nowhere, and fast. A thought struck him, and a grin crept back across his face. Giving a glance to the bleachers behind him one last time, he eyed the stack of CDs sitting next to Tara and murmured "Something quick and with a beat."
Most of the crowd's attention had dissipated into chatter during the delay at the table, but as Jade made his way to the center of the gymnasium floor a stray shout of encouragement quickly returned all eyes to him. Offering himself one last nervous breath, he closed his eyes and waited for the CD player on the table to whir into the proper track and begin pouring out whatever grainy music TC had in store.
The song was perfect. Rooster took advantage of its gradual, pensive opening, moving through nothing short of a tai chi form. The intro soon gave way to a thick bassline, allowing him to leap into the air in an acrobatic flourish.
Snapping his eyes open, he flashed a brilliant smile and moved around the full length of the gym, clapping his hands above his head to the beat and working the crowd into the tune. Once the students were clapping in time, he closed his mind and simply moved, remembering the way Ginga would blur the lines between dance and combat when they would spar. A spin and flip here, a twirl of his towel there, it was all off the top of Jade's head, and his enthusiasm made up for his obvious lack of experience.
It was almost disappointing when the song drew to a close. Rooster spun with the last few lengths of rhythm, dropping to his knees and throwing his fists up in time with the last note of the song, his towel having found its way back around his neck during the routine. Beaming for a moment while the applause swelled and waned, he climbed to his feet and shot the girls at the head table a grin before making his way back up the bleachers. Nearly out of breath for the first time in a while, he mumbled to no one in particular on his way up. "That was fun."

Doing her best not to let the others see how nervous she is , Kali skips her way out happily onto the gym floor flashing a few smiles out at the bleachers before she begins.
Turning her attention to Franky and Cricket she blocks out the others for a moment to gather her bearings and begins...
A broad smile forms as she stands in the traditional ready stance , nods for Cricket to start the tape and waits for the music to begin.
Kali begins starting the chant to get the crowd going right away. They've been so hyped she doesnt want to give time for the mood to fade any .
Following Rooster wasn't going to be easy for sure.
Pointing out to the section of bleachers directly in front of her she calls out ...
Hey, You Flyers fans,
Stand up and clap your hands!
She moves along to the beat of the music , arms going through the motions , hips wiggling , flashing the wide smiles shes known for and encouraging them to get louder as she continues
Go Flyers
Go Flyers
She points out to another section of bleachers , urging that group to stand and join in.
Hey, You St Joes Flyers Fans
Now let's see you wave your hands!
Go Flyers Go,
Go Flyers Go!
Her hands raise and motion for everyone to join in as she claps and stomps , however she doesn't make the flips and acrobatic jumps so many others have been doing. Almost all her movements are dance type steps and hand gestures , accompanied by tons of smiles.
Clap your hands
Stomp your feet
St Joes Flyers can't be beat !
Go Flyers go !
Come on team you can do it just put some POWER into it!
Shes forgotten now how nervous she was and her enjoyment at everyones enthusiam shows in her eyes .
Flyers got spirit !
Yea get up, get up and show it!
Let's hear it!
Yell for the team that is the best,
Come on crowd yell SJS !
SJS!
The whole gym erupts in the chant of those three simple and yet so important letters. After all to most of them SJS is the only place they've felt they belonged .The one place that no matter how different they were , they would always fit in. To most of these teens SJS was "home"
Yea that's right
Let's go, let's fight, let's win!
St Joes Flyers! Alright!
With a final jump ending in a scissor kick she slides down into splits that make a few wince ,she ends with a loud and triumphant .
Goooooooo Flyers!
Her arms stretched high above her head.
Peeking back to see Franky and Cricket she smiles again and raises from the floor, carefully brushing the hair back from her face.
A ponytail probibly would have been a good idea but that would have meant everyone seeing more of those spots she hated so much.
The exertion from the try out is evident. Shes clearly not in the shape she was last time . But the enthusiasm she feels is even more evident.
Kali takes a slight curtesy resembling more of an awkward bow toward everyone as she backs slowly toward Cricket , giggling at Eric who is still bouncing around excitedly.
He has to make the team she thinks.. He could get any room bouncing.
As she approaches Cricket she whispers with a blush .... omg i ripped my sweats!
Cricket hands Kali her own hoodie from a nearby chair , which is quickly tied around Kali's waist as she blushes not just from embarrasment but from the exertion itself as well.
"I'll be right back.... I need to run and change" Kali says quietly to Cricket who nods and watches her friend leave with concern.

Eric bounced excitedly in the bleachers.
"Wow, Kali was great and Jade was great and Roxy was great and I was great and CHEER SQUAD IS GOING TO ROCK THIS YEAR!!!!"
Alex smiled and put a hand on Eric's shoulder. "It sure is. Here, have a chocolate bar." Alex handed him a chocolate bar he'd pulled from his backpack. Ever since that mooning incident, he made sure to carry a few around for when Eric got especially worked up.
Eric giggled excitedly and stopped bouncing so that he could eat it. Nearby students looked at Alex with gratitude as the threat of Eric landing on their feet (or heads) evaporated.

The stunned look on Francis' face couldn't be faked.
"Wow. Thanks Kali." She looked up at Cricket, glanced over at Lycia and smiled. This was one of the best cheer try-outs she had ever seen...well...except of course for Stasis. Who knew huh?
Franky shook her head and looked out at the crowd, now nearly ready to riot in the halls with sugar and kinetics induced enthusiasm. She briefly amused herself with the thought that SJS didn't need stoners...soon they'd be toking up Eric.
She cleared her throat. "Anyone else?"

After a quick change , Kali makes her way back out to her bleacher seat .
Whispering to Oby she asks
"so how'd it go? You think it was ok?"
Watching Eric nibble happily on his chocolate bar she mumbles out loud,
" oh sure noone brought chips"
followed by a giggle.
