Jessiy jumped up, screaming as the Hawk's quarterback went down under the weight of Damien, Diyar, AND Dar. The horn blared, whistles blew, and the entire stadium had erupted in cheering.
Jessiy tried catching a glimpse of Dar, waving wildly at him.
"YA!!!! GO FLYERS!!!"

Darweshi stood up after knocking the Hawk's quarterback Singleton to the ground, roaring loudly, muscles tense, back arched, and head cocked back.
"GET SOME!" He called out, thumping heads against Biff and Delevar, his grin wide enough to see the flash of white teeth against his dark skin even from the stands.

After the two point conversion was made, Luke felt great. He practically strutted back to the bench, ignoring most of the people offering high fives. He grabbed a seat next to Sam, and spent the next few minutes switching glances between Quinn, Beth, and the actual game.
He was in such a good mood from the game, that when they won, he even cheered with his team. After such a display was over, he put his regular old face back on and walked out to change for the D.

Luke: "Hey, I've got some standards for girls."
Franky: "What, two legs?"
Luke: "Nah, two nice legs."

Diyar threw his left hand forward, pushing the kid infront of him off to his right and pushing past him, his movements as perfect as they had been in practice when Singleton had worked with him. The other boy went flying past him, and Diyar dashed forward.
Damien already had the quarter back tied up, but he wasn't going down without a fight. Diyar dropped his head and reached forward, wrapping his arms around him and forcing all his weight onto him.
More arms were suddenly tangled up, and Diyar could feel Darweshi slamming into the target. The four went down in a crumpled heap as the buzzer sounded. Diyar jumped up as fast as he could, grinning down at the pile of jersey and limbs that HAD been the Hawk's quarterback.
The three Flyers looked at each other for a second. It didn't matter who moved first; the three of them began jumping and butting helmets. They did it! Diyar pumped a fist in the air between headbutts.
"THAT'S HOW WE PLAY HERE!!"

The pale blonde girl turned and hugged the boy she'd been sitting with the entire game. She bounced up and down, cheeks flushed, eyes blue and sparkling.
"We did it, we did it, we won, we WON!" she squeaked. Her arms weren't strong enough to squeeze the breath out of anything but the bouncing sure was nice. The black haired boy made a mental note to encourage it more often.
"We sure as hell did! Told you, didn't I?"
The girl just glowed up at him before whirling around in the near circle of his arms to clap.
"Go Flyers! We win! You really suck!"
He laughed and used the opportunity to hug her from behind. Oh, yeah.
"But I'm sure you tried hard!" she shouted. He had to laugh again. Man, what a ditz. Still, the bouncing more than made up for it. He scootched a little closer.
"Hey, how about we go get something to eat once we can get out of here? My treat." He smiled down at her as she tilted her head back to stare.
"Oh, I can't ...I mean, I'd like to, that'd be awful nice but my friends.... "
"C'mon, there's a pizza place just a couple blocks from here, and it's by the slice. Your friends won't even miss you by the time I get you back." He hugged her again. "We should celebrate!"
She broke contact then and for a second he thought he'd blown it, but then she smiled, habit smoothing some flyaway hair behind her ear.
"Well, that does sound like a good idea.. and I am hungry! Sure, thank you so much!"
"Anytime. Not like we win all the time, right?"
She giggled. "No!" She threaded her fingers through his as they waited for the crowd to clear a little. "I'm Aura," she said shyly.
"Simon. Nice to meet you."

'Del waited in the stands, waiting quietly, willing herself not to panic. Brandon will be fine. He will be fine, she told herself sternly. She kept an iron control, slowly rising off the bleachers, and making her way with the rest of the departing crowd. She wanted to push everyone out of the way, but instead, she waited, saw her opportunities to move through holes in the mob, and slipped through, quietly, unobtrusively.
She was angry, and the depth of her feelings frightened her. She breathed through her nose, to slow the racing of her heart, because she was on the verge of completely losing it, and she couldn't break the impassive mask she wore.
Brandon needs me. She waited in the hall outside the locker rooms, hugging herself, but refusing to cry. She didn't want her make-up all runny when he finally came out. They were the perfect couple, and she wasn't going to spoil that for anyone. She would be poised, and calm, yet concerned and loving.
Please don't let him be badly hurt, she prayed, all the while marveling at the emotion welling up within her. Could she afford to allow herself to feel this deeply for a boy she'd only met a month ago?
Yes. Yes, she could.
She waited.

Re: Homecoming: SJS vs. Jaynestown Hawks - 10/03/08
The whole game Damian had been coming up short, being beat twice for a touchdown. This time that wasn't going to happen. The words of his former coach going through his head "Do or Die" somewhat angered him. It was just enough to give him the fuel that he needed as he went straight through the hawks guard. No pretty swim moves here to get by, his mind was on total destruction.
Breaking through; his eyes were now on the QB who had dropped back for the pass, that was a mistake he thought, as he sped up to get to him. Lowering his head but keeping his eyes on the target, he hit the QB. He tried to scramble loose but fell short when Diyar hit him from the other side, quickly followed by Dar who took the whole muster down to the ground.
The three coming back to their feet, Damian looked down at the mangled QB...."I bet that shit hurt." He muttered right before being headbutted by Diyar.

It was like Mal had *wanted* to come watch the game by himself. All of his friends had split off into their little cliques that usually didn't include him, and he wasn't the kind to butt in on their good time. He's just be in the way after all. So he watched the game, quiet and by himself, standing and clapping at the right times, eagerly watching Trixie during the halftime show, that sort of thing. Noone even bothered speaking to him. He didn't mind. Really.
Finally, as the game ended and the players celebrated, he couldn't shake the thought that he should have been out there too, celebrating the victory with the football team. He looked down at the metal suit peeking out from under his jacket. And sighed. A lot.

Sam stood on the bench holding onto Bryan's shoulder pads as the Hawks lined up for the last play, both holding their breath. She couldn't even hear herself yell over all the noise as Falken stepped back for the pass. He didn't go down when Damian hit him, but with the combined forces of Dar and Diyar, Falken didn't stand a chance.
"We WON!" She called, as Bryan scooped her into a hug. The team ran out onto the field to celebrate with their teammates. Biff and Briggs ran back to the bench, hoisted Coach up onto their shoulders and carried him onto the field.
Jeff Waters could not have been prouder of his team. They worked hard on their own, they wanted this, they achieved it. Sure the score was close, sure they all made stupid mistakes, but this is the one time he'd let them all slide.
He wobbled a little unsteadily as he sat high atop two of his tallest players, holding his hand up in a number one sign. The kids of SJS and some of the fans came onto the field as well to celebrate, chanting "S-J-S" as they formed a massive huddle on the field.
Go Flyers!
((OOC - thanks to everyone who participated and/or took the time to read the game! Thanks, Brianna for posting the game for me, and for Kara and Ves who were my back ups.
The game's for Ty Cloud, who can't be with us in game for a while due to Hurricane Ike. His broken collarbone/shoulder injury will keep him benched for the rest of the season. Go Ty!))
