Barrier grinned, remembering that sometimes Roxy jumped into things without really knowing why. "No, Rox. Plenty of guys dig cheerleaders. Half the football team will be leaving you little notes and crap, just you see."
Tolliver grunted. "Yeah, with big block letters with the S's backwards. Football players." He rolled his eyes. "Nah, you come cheer for the wrestling team. The President of Pin needs some cheers! You know, besides the wild howls of my adoring fans."
Roxy smiled. "well, I guess I'll be at all sorts of games and matches. Of course I'll cheer for you!"
Tolliver smiled, and for the first time, Roxy felt like maybe there wasn't a sneer in it. "Well, congratulations, then, Rox," the striped boy said.
Roxy giggled a little, suddenly feeling a little awkward. Maybe that was why Saskia and her friends were so jocular all the time: genuine feelings, genuine kindness, without a filter-- it can catch you off guard and make you feel funny, she thought.

"Well, I'm gonna go back to my room then and try and find out more about cheerleading so I can do my best at it." Roxy proclaimed proudly as she wiggled out of Saskia's grasp.
"Um... I'll probably be seeing you more at all your matches then... So I'll see you then..." Roxy said as she looked at Tolliver, "And um... I'll see you later too then Saskia."
Roxy waved back to her friends as she left the gym and quickly headed back to her room.
