He shook off the chill that ran though his body as Joni released his grip. Bryan turned to see the young man sit down at the table.
"Oh hey 'Tex! How's it going?" He listen to the boy's response and he asked. "Is there a problem in your Quad? Who do you room with?"

Joni couldn't help but notice Bryan's slight change in expression during the handshake. Thicker gloves, she needed thicker gloves...
She observes Voritex and Bryan begin their conversation. "I'll just be off then... see you later."

"Alright Joni." Still standing next to her, he turned and smiled. "I'm glad we got to talk. If you see Mana, tell him I said 'Hi." He smiled at her as she walked away.

The Autumn morning was oddly warm as Bryan walked to Study Hall after his Lunch period. He casually allowed his text books to slowly orbit around him as traveled. Bryan waved to the multitude of friends and acquaintances he passed on the way to the Library.
The young man, pushed open the heavy wood door to the quiet room. Already there were students, sitting themselves down to the tables spread throughout the huge room.
Bryan made a path to his normal table, which sat just behind a waste high book shelves which seperated the table from the Librarian's station near the doors. On top of the book shelves, stood a bronze reproduction of a statue showing St. George slaying the dragon. The boy liked the statue and spent many afternoons staring at it, when he chose to daydream instead of study.
He pulled out a chair and sat down quietly, carefully laying out his books and pad. His pen jotting down a few scattered notes from the Biology book, but soon the boy was doodling on the edge of the pad.

Malcolm fumbled with his glasses and leaned back slightly in his chair, ignoring the protests of the nails holding it together. Geometry had been really rough, and he was supposed to be studying up for the test on Friday, but...
He quickly glanced around, and seeing none of the sisters in the immediate area, pulled out the latest of a series of popular fantasy novels and tried as discretely as he could to try and get through the next chapter. [/i]

Bryan saw Malcolm come into the library and sit at the table next to him. He noticed that the boy was reading but couldn't see what it was.
Using a tried and true method, Bryan got up fro m his chair and made his way to a stack of books near Malcolm's chair. He mimed searching the stacks for a book, and just grabbed one absently. Bryan hefted the large Ethics book, thinking a larger book looks like he was doing more work.
After a glance around, Bryan sidled into a chair next to Malcolm.
Quietly he asked the new student, "Whatcha reading?"

Ty quietly folded the already doodled on paper into a little paper football. He grinned as he took his seat behind Bryan and Mal. He stuck his tounge out in conversation as he moved the paper football around trying to get it to be in perfect position. He flicked the Paper ball as hard as he could. It soared over Mal's head and hit bryan smack dab on the nose. Ty shoved his face into his arms to muffle his laughter. <Perfect>

"Oh, I was just reading....uh..."
Mal blinked surprisedly as the paper projectile soared over his head.
"I didn't do that!"

Bryan sees Ty laughing and looks at the boy with a grin. He lifts the paper football and concentrates for a moment.
"Hey Ty!" Bryan says to the boy. "Nice shot..." Bryan maintains his focus and alters the weight of the paper missile. Then suddenly the triangle streaks away from Bryan's open palm like a bullet.
The missile struck Ty square in the face, bowling him from his chair and spilling the boy onto the floor.

Mal blinked, not exactly sure what just happened.
"That wasn't very nice...."

Kierin wanders in with her head down and a book in her hand. She looks up at all the people and blinks, and a small draft blows through the room.
Blushing slightly, she sits in a chair off at the edge of the room and opens her book.

Mal shuffled in his seat and fiddled with his glasses again.
"What's everyone's plans for homecoming? I can't go to the dance cause I can't meet the dress code..."

Mal squirmed reflexively. There were now two people sitting around him (who had just attacked each other not five minutes ago), and he wasn't used to the attention.
"Yeah...same reason they won't let me play football. 'Illegal equipment'. This s-suit keeps me from doing a l-lot of stuff I want to do..."
