Fireworks (Open to all)

Malcolm had really hoped he had gotten the word out enough. He wasn't going to do anything so flashy as put flyers up, but he had made it clear to his friends that everyone was invited to this little pseudo-picnic, and hoped that social networking would do the rest. Maybe there was some other July Fourth get-together, and noone told him?

He hoped not.

Mal sat on a blanket in one of the grassy areas near City Hall in Atlas Park. It was a little past sundown, and in a little over an hour the yearly Independence Day fireworks show would begin. A cooler filled with various soft drinks sat nearby, and while Malcolm certainly wasn't the culinary type, a barbeque grill was close at hand just in case anyone felt like using it.

Malcolm opened up a Sprite, and waited to see if anyone would show.

Luckily for Mal, the word had reached at least a few people it seemed, Arly came up to the area for the party, waving at Mal with a grin. She was dressed in a cute summer dress and humming a song as she played around with the illusions it created, before grinning and sitting down somewhere.

"Hiya Mal, Nice evening, isnt it?"

Mik didn't normally like the whole colorful explosions in the sky thing, but he figures it will be a good chance to meet a few more people from the school. He wanders until he finds Arlina and Mal, waving to them casually as he finds a spot to sit against a nearby tree.

"How are you guys today?"

Mal wasn't suprised to see that Arlina had shown up. He had extend an invitation personally to her, after all. A little more suprising was the new kid with the dingaling on his eye, whom he'd had little contact with. In any case, he waved as they approached.

"Hey guys. Help yourself to a drink." He pointed to the cooler. "Glad you both could come."
