Alex nervously took the number and slipped it sloppily into his back pocket.

"Um, thanks. I'll call you if Aura can't go, just I'm sorry if I can't go with you."

He nodded, and fidgeted with his backpack strap to carry on the akward conversation.

Alex stared thoughtfully at Bri and her slightly frightening smile.

"Uh, yeah, I may go with Aura. 'Pends on whether or not she can go. How come? You need a date?"

Alex sighed and pushed his books into his locker.

Algebra exam, crap.

He pulled out his Algebra textbook and put it into his bookbag. He'd get some last-minute cramming in, then hopefully he could get a D or something.
