Kali sticks her nose around the corner of the doorway and hollars in
" hey anyone seen Jack? I gotta give Him back His notebook before Moltar realizes he doesn't have His homework!"
a sudden rush of shhhh's follow her outburst and she giggles as she looks around for Him

“Stasis Kiss: Sometimes you just have to do something drastic and shake things around a little. ”
"Shhhhhh!"
He laughed at Kali's grand entrance, she sure knew how to stir things up. Shaking his head, he turned back to Nennya. He smiled again at her, intrigued by her admission that she was "up to no good".
After her reply, he answered back. "I'm not sure about those other guys but I'm pretty sure Jack is in Quad Five."
He wasn't absolutely sure want this young lady meant by "No good" but he was secretly eager to find out.

With a more relaxed smile Amy rests her hands back on the table with a parting pat to the yellow dog on the floor.
"Yes." She replied to the cold feeling next to her, "completely. Don't be embarrassed, in a place like this alot of people ask me if I have super hearing or sonics or something like echo locations, *she chuckles at the last part*."
With a shrug, "but I don't. Just plain old blind, can't see a thing. I used to have to get around with my cane but now with him," she motions to Bailey, "things are much easier. Nothing unusal in the way I see, as in meaning not at all."

Joni relaxes a little (though Kali's hollering interrupts her train of thought). "Well, again, I'm Joni... sorry about the nosyness, and pleased to meet you..." She gives Bailey another quick head rub. "And you too."

Nennya beckoned Bryan over to her side of the table and patted the chair behind her, and commenced to re-open her yearbook to the page of photographs. Many of the students' pictures here had notations written over them in opaque pink pen. Ages. Frequent hangouts. Favorite foods. Some, like Barjnal and Stasis Kiss, had two-word descriptions of their powers.
"How did you find all this out?" whispered Bryan, the massive amounts of information blurring in his vision. "Never mind. WHY did you find all this out?"
"I'm a total spy in the pay of Crey Industries," Nennya giggled. Then, seeing the look on her classmate's face, she shook her head. "No, I tell I lie. I'm curious, you know? I like research." She flipped to a dogeared page, of faculty members, some of whose pictures were bordered in the same pink pen. "Only some of the faculty have powers, but all of the students do."
There were notations in the pink-bordered photographs as well. There was Gemini. He read the notation with some interest.
"She was educated at Bloodvine Academy? That's weird."
"Well, not that weird. Super power people have to get educations somewhere, I guess. It's not even particularly a secret. HERE's what I'm really interested in." She pulled a piece of looseleaf paper out, and pulled an older Annus from the stack at her side.
"Nuns?"
"They take new names when they join the convent. Here's our current roster of teaching nuns, and a few group photographs of the contemplative order in the cloister. I'm wondering how many of them were students before they took orders."
"Why?"
"Because nuns don't have babies. I'm wondering how many of the nuns here have super powers, because all of those are going to be genetic dead ends."
"They all look the same to me. The nuns, I mean."
Nennya sighed. "You're right. Trying to figure out which, if any, of these old women in wimples were actually students at St. Joe's is a real drag. But I have outed at least one." She pointed to a picture of Sister Mary Moltar.
"Her name before she took vows was 'Matilda Orly,' she's probably in her mid-sixties, and it looks like she was captain of the field hockey team back in '56. I know enough to find out more about her, so I switched my attention back to other people."
"Other nuns?"
"Other students who might be faculty. Because there's something else I'm curious about--is there anyone out there, either as a teacher or just your average Joe Blow from Kokomo, who once had powers but now doesn't? Can powers go away as one ages? Did something happen to them? Inquiring minds want to know."
"How do you get any work done? Like, homework, I mean?"
"This IS homework. I'm submitting an oral report in history class tomorrow. I think it's better to multitask, right? If I have to do work assigned for other people, it might as well be personally useful." She flipped back to the pages of current student photographs, uncapped pink pen at the ready. "So what's your favorite food, Bryan?"

The response is a stifled laugh. "Umm, yeah... That's my freak credential; my blood runs well below freezing. Sorry, is it bothering you? I can move, or grab a hot cocoa from the hall vending machine to absorb."

With a shake of her head, Amy smiles and tries to put the girl at ease. "No no, it's just a very strange feeling. Usually when I sit close to people its more of a warm feeling in front of me, even if it is just because they are blocking the wind. Right now it kinda feels like when I made a snowman out in the quad. It's not bad, just different."
The blind girl laughs, "I guess that's normal around here, huh? Well, I won't ask to touch your face then, I did that to Glacial Mass once and he didn't think it was such a great idea. I think in the end he was probably right."

"'Touch my...'? Oh, I get it. Umm..." Joni considers for a second. "...I think it would be safe, although I would really want to build up a bit more of a heat reserve in my skin to be sure. Which I'll want to do in the next hour or two anyway. Right now I'm at 'she's got really poor circulation' skin temperature... the really cold parts are all inside." She cocks her head and studies Amy a bit more. "I take it you aren't a heater or an invulnerable either. Is it okay if I ask what your 'credentials' are?"

As Bryan tries to take in the massive amount of information Nennya barrages him with. He does here her ask him the question... "So what's your favorite food, Bryan?"
"Well, I like Chinese Food." he answered, all most dazed by the seemingly 180 degree turn in the conversation. "Ummm... guess I like General Tso's chicken the best."
He smiled nervously waiting to see the girll add this fact beside his name in her catalog of facts.

"If you like it, would you mind, um, eating some General Tso's with me downtown tomorrow night? I'll let you eat both fortune cookies." She made a brief notation in her Annus and closed it with an audible snap, and smiled winsomely at Bryan.
He stammered a moment, taken aback. Nennya backpedaled.
"I just don't know anyone, or anything about Paragon City. I'm tired of folding maps and I have no idea how to get from Point A to Point B. I get lost a lot. And I think, if someone were with me and we were on a quest for food, it wouldn't be so much like being lost as being ... on a quest for food. With a friend."

"That would be great." he answered with a smile. Bryan looked about for the librarian, too see if the coast was clear.
He gathered up his belonging and quickly stuffed his backpack full. Then grabbing his jacket. "Let's go." he grinned. "I think we're clear."
He tried to stiffle a laugh, as he and his new friend ran for the doors and off to the city.

"My ummm, 'credentials'? Oh oh, I understand!" Amy smiled and nodded. "Well, it's not as cool as yours really, I just heal fast that's all. You know, get a cut and its just gone, that kind of thing. Good thing really, heh, I run into things alot and trip over almost everything, so I guess its a blessing. Nothing like turning into ice or anything."
"Well, it sounds handy..." Joni is temporarily distracted by Bryan and Nennya departing; she frowns ever so slightly. "...um, but anyway, freezing things is really overrated. And I don't actually turn into ice... I just form it. Around myself if I'm not careful..."
