Schoolwork had mostly innundated him for the last week, mainly because he'd been spending far too much time out on... unofficial business, let's call it. He needed to relax, desperately, or at least take a little break from the small mountain of paperwork that was currently dominating three quarters of his desk.
He walked over to his bed, pushed aside some dirty clothes, sprawled out, and picked up his laptop.
Gabe was never sure what masochistic impluse lead him to put the Paragon city news on his homepage, since it had the immediate effect of boosting his stress level every time he booted up his browser, he was a bit of a news junkie, perhaps. And without fail, the front page was never something good:
BREAKING NEWS: Alleged gang leader "Clamour" escapes from PPD custody during routine prisoner transfer.
Paragon City- The alleged Freakshow #3 woman, "Clamour" escaped from PPD custody sunday afternoon, after overpowering her guards during what was supposed to be a routine transfer from the 413th Skyway City precinct detention block to the secured holding facility at Zigursky.
At approximately 3:00 PM, during a prisoner transfer, the van carrying her, as well as noted gang leader "Frostfire" crashed into the median on Skyway overpass 104, no traces of the alleged escapees was found at the scene, and two of the police officers, Lt. Daniel Gern and Sgt. Maxwell Burns of the Paragon City Tactical Police SWAT unit were found dead. The Paragon Medical Examiner, when asked about their injuries, stated: "While I cannot give a conclusive finding as of this time, some of their injuries do not appear to be caused by blunt-force trauma, most telling are what appear to be burn-marks and puncture wounds indicative of a serrated implement."
The PPD has declined to comment on their ongoing investigation, and the team originally involved in their capture, as a group of super-heroes linked to the famed "Sister Psyche" of Freedom Phalanx fame, has not been identified
Clamour is described as approximately 5"6' tall, with a large metal claw in place of her left arm, and metal spikes protruding from her right shoulder. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the PPD immediately, she is now wanted for the death of two Paragon police officers as well as conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism, racketeering, possession of a weapon of mass destruction, illegal medical experimentation, robbery and kidnapping charges. She is considered extremely dangerous
Gabe shook his head sadly, looks like he lost that bet.
