You Got My Homework Done?

She had made it a point to pick on the new boy since He arrived at St Joes.
Every single day both before and after school and any chance she found in between , Alyssa had needled Justin Derravart about her homework.
In return she got flack from the other students who overheard her , but she didn't care.
Justin was shy to a point. Quiet when he first arrived, and seemingly sceptical of hisself and his new found powers.
And so Alyssa pushed buttons so to speak. Nothing major. Just little things to get his attention .

Every single day now she had hounded him for homework she had already done . She made it a point to make a deal about it in front of everyone. It pulled the attention away from his newness and gave him a chance to pick up a few friends from the ones who gave her back the hard time she gave him.

He was cute. She liked his smile. But no boy was ever interested in Alyssa . Once they noticed the scars she hid behind the long bangs , they turned their attention to the prettier girls.
Alyssa was content in believing that at least Justin would make friends easier now. He could still be quiet and shy, or as she had noticed lately; he could start standing up for hisself.
Earlier today he when she again asked for her homework he surprised her with
" Why dont you do you own homework?"
She couldn't help but grin from behind her bangs.

" Well well, it's about time you said that. i was wondering how long it would take you to put me in my place hot stuff."
She replied with a laugh.

" They're having some party thing at Pocket D. I mean I'm not asking you to go or nothing, don't take it that way. but uh I mean if you wanted to check it out..."
Alyssa asked , her voice trailing off at the end.

" alright, I guess." Justin answered much to her surprise.

And so they went . Justin even managed to get her to dance. And she actually enjoyed herself.
About an hour after they had arrived Justin stopped her and took her hand in his.

"Alyssa you ready to go?"

This time it was Alyssa who was shy and quiet as she answered.

"yup im ready where you taking me?"

He smiled broadly as he pushed her bangs aside a bit.

"Where ever the moon and stars look best"

In her excitment she forgot her bullyish ways and exclaimed loudly to all within earshot.

"Later people I got a date with Derr!"

They made thier way to a quiet spot in Atlas.
The water of the pond reflected the moonlight and the stars shown brightly.
Justin found a spot on the rocks of the edge where it was partially hidden from view and laid his jacket down for her to sit on.
If it hadn't been quite as dark he would have seen the blush in her cheeks.

He sat next to her and they talked about school. Where they had come from , parents and home life before now.
He was the first person she had told any of this to and it felt good to not only let it out, but to listen to his life too.

The moon rose higher in the sky and soon they knew they needed to return to campus.

Justin walked her back to the dorm and kissed her cheek as he said goodnight.

" Goodnight Alyssa. I'll see you tomorrow ok?"

Alyssa smiled and nodded.
" And don't forget my homework"
Both laughed as they parted ways.
