The Rules for "Voices"

This forum was birthed from the depths of The Rumor Mill and from threads like I Spy. However, it has its own rules which should be followed.

When starting threads in this forum, you don't need a specific agenda or story in mind. This is "call and response" or "conversational" roleplay-- which is to say, posts should be kept short and in the form of passing conversation heard around the school. Similarly, threads here are considered "open" by default. Anyone may join a thread, leave a thread, or ignore a thread. If you are interested in having a private conversation, you must say so explicitly.

This is not The Rumor Mill. Conversations here are not anonymous, nor are they without accountability. When you post here, you are assumed to be speaking. You may not put words in another player character's mouth, though you may use NPCs as you wish. Additionally, unlike The Rumor Mill, people directly connected to the "subject" of the thread may join in-- these are not secret, whispered conversations.

Threads here are meant to bridge the gap between The Rumor Mill and Thread Roleplaying. They should be more involved and with greater detail than simple rumor posts, but they do not need to be as elaborate or thought out as thread stories. The goal here is balance.
