A trick with no name

[Anthony Kite]

The final bell rang on Friday, pouring students into the halls. Tony wove his way through the crowd and eventually tracked Ty down at his locker. He waited patiently for the boy to toss in his books and slam the door.

"What's up?"

Tony only grinned and pressed the taped-together Handycam into Ty's hands.

"Turn it on and follow me."

[Ty Cloud]

Ty stood staring at the camera in his hand as he closed his locker door with his free hand. "What are you gonna try?" He grinned, now looking at Tony.

Tony's smile spread wider. "You'll see, dude, just get that thing on me. I gotta do the intro and find Sam and then we'll hit the park, 'kay?" He gestured for Ty to get the camera rolling, starting to weave backwards through the crowd toward Sam's locker.

[Blitzen]

Sam finished stocking her backpack with essentials and closed the door, startling when she saw Tony grinning from the other side.

"Jeez, bud, you know I have a bad jump reflex." She smiled, throwing the backpack over her shoulder and looking at the impish grin the winged boy wore. "What's up?"

[Ty Cloud]

Ty walked up to Sam's locker slowly, video camera glued to his face. "Everyone say 'Hi Sam!' " He grinned leaning on her locker.

Tony threw an arm over Sam's shoulders and poked her in the cheek. "Smile, chica." He then turned to the camera and its red recording light with a grin and a showboating air.

"Hey, Tony Kite here. Yeah, I'm not in traction. Actually, I've got super powers--they saved my life. So I swapped coasts and this is my new school." He gestured to the stream of odd students in the hall.

"And my crew. We've got Ty behind the camera, and this is my best bud, Sam." He gave her shoulder a squeeze. "I've been working on a new trick, so let's hit the New Overbrook skate park and see if I can pull it off today."

Tony chuckled easily and turned back to Sam. "You guys are game, right?"

[Blitzen]

Sam mugged at the camera with Tony, making a crossed finger "like this" gesture at the mention of being best buds.

"Hell yeah, I'm game! Let's go see what you got!"

[Ty Cloud]

"Just dont bust your head open, 'kay?" Ty shoved Tony playfully as he walked backwards down the hallway, taping the other two.

Tony chuckled and shoved Ty back. "C'mon, change into some real clothes and I'll meet you at the park. Bring whoever you want."

[Blitzen]

"Grab Matt!" Sam called over her shoulder before ducking into the girls' dorms. He'd come to the skate park before and was a great sport about everything. She made a quick stop at Quad 11 to leave a note for Ves to meet her there before heading into her own room to change, throwing on a pair of baggy jeans, T-shirt and jacket.

Tony tugged his hoodie down against the cold and coasted around the skate park. It was chilly, but the ramps were dry. Today would be the day he'd reveal the trick he'd been working on for the past month--something no one had done before, at least officially.

"Gonna name it today, little dude?" Jimmy leaned out of his hut and grinned.

The boy nodded, digging his hands into his back pockets. "Just waiting for everyone who wants to show."

[Ty Cloud]

Ty paused the camera as he gave it to Tony. "Be back in a sec." He ran into quad 7, quickly changing into some baggy shorts and his warn-out basketball jersey covering it up with his lettermans jacket. Tony better know what he is doing.... He thought as he locked his quad door. "Yo, Nova!" He called out, jogging to him as he was heading for the quads. "You wanna come to the skate park and check out what Tony has in store?

[Vesper Fiend]

Tossing her books onto her bed, Ves thumbed at the edge of the brief note. She switched to some street clothes and left her uniform in a jumble on the bed for later. After a brisk flight to the skate park, she spotted Tony and settled into a hover nearby. "Hey! What's up? Is Sam somewhere 'round here?"

[Nova]

Nova Popped his head out of his quad toothbrush shoved in his mouth "Theres a park for skating?" Without a response he grabbed a shirt and started to run down the hall struggling to get it over his head and wings. "Wait up! I'm coming"

Ty laughed as he sprinted out the doors, seeing the skatepark in the distance. "C'mon Nova, catch up dude!" He yelled as he looked back keep his pace. Coming up on the skatepark he quickly spotted Tony. "Made it! And I think Nova is coming up behind me!"
