It had been 2 days after prom. Stormy lay in bed looking up at the ceiling thinking that she didn't feel very different, but she knew things had changed. Her relationship with Nova had escalated. She sighed and dragged herself out of bed getting ready to head down to breakfast.
"I wonder how many people know.. I hope they don't think too badly of me." she muttered to herself as she was heading down the stairs.
Stormy walked into the cafeteria. It was fairly empty, but one of the first people she saw was Matt.
"Oh no! Does he know? Is he going to hate me now? Oh god! If he does... i'm done for! I seen what he did to those cat boys!!" she thought to herself. She went through the line grabbing various things for breakfast, and hiding herself in one of the corner booths, hoping that no one would really notice her.
((Side note: Stormy does have an over active imagination when it comes to scary-ish things..))

"But I want orange juice and the orange juice thing isn't giving me any and can't you just put more in, please? It's like the perfect drink to start a perfect day, ya?"
The middle-aged lunch lady, hair crammed into a hair net, sighed with some exasperation. "I'm sorry but like I said, we're out. We don't have any to put in it. You'll just have to start your day imperfectly. Now scoot, you're holding up the line."
Matt scooted and wandered back over to the juice dispenser, ears drooping. Orange juice was usually so good about helping him perk up. He really could've used it since he'd hardly gotten any sleep last night thanks to the late-night dare that didn't happen, which he'd have to ask Nigel for help on later today. He got himself some apple juice instead, then picked up his tray of fruit and cereal and looked around for a good place to sit. It was still pretty quiet so he was starting to wander to a table by himself when he saw Stormy sitting back in a corner all by herself. Much better to have company! So he wandered over to her table.
"I didn't think the sun came out this early in the morning, Sunny?" Matt smiled a bit, then stifled an unexpected yawn as he set his tray down. "Mind if I join ya?"

Stormy sat and began munching on her cereal, pulled out her notebook, and began writing out some ideas for new crafts for her dorm room. Perhaps she could even make some stuff for her new room mates. She glanced up, and seen Matt heading straight toward her.
Crap! Crap! Crap! He's seen me! Ok... there are people here right? Maybe he'll be ok in public? Then again... those cat boys suffered in public by his hand! Eep!

Nova had darted out of the room early picking up a few pieces of fruit from a local market, doing everything he could to avoid anything to do with the cafeteria. He was making his way into the school when his phone went off, this weeks ring tone was the theme to Jurassic Park. He tugged it out of his pocket looking at the message, it was from Stormy. "Matt's here, In the cafe, I'm scared!" he acked and tore off, the entrance was well.. typical if anything. The two doors burst open as he came sliding through across the ground, wings keeping him balanced he almost took off the head of one of the unlucky students near the door.
He came to a stop, head darting around spotting the table where they sat. Eyes rolled, some people snickered, most people went back to their breakfast. "Sorry sorry!' He yelled to the unfortunate victim one of the students he didn't know the names of grumbled and with that, made his way back to the line. Nova trotted across the room, an orange in one hand, a banana in the other stopping at the table in front of them. "Hey guys!" he called in that cheerful early morning voice, and smiled bright at the two friends before him. Without really hesitating he scooted Stormy over, pushing her some to get her to move over, even though he had plenty of room. "No-va!" she called to him as he only leaned further. "Oh sorry sorry, I have enough room now, everything is okay" he gave another warm smile, to her then across the table. "Heya Matt!" Matt grinned and sat down. "Things are great! Well except for not getting as much sleep as I like but that's what class is for, ya?" He snickered, stirring his cheerios a bit before taking a bite. He glanced back at Stormy, who seemed really jittery for some reason. "How's abouts you?"
He could tell that she was struggling to come up with an answer, but she didn't really get a chance to give it because a few moments later, the doors to the cafeteria slung open making more noise than anything had a right to be making at that time of the morning. Turning to look, he saw the winged figure of a cheerful Nova trotting across the room.
"Hey guys!" Nova greeted them with a bright smile, then deposited himself in the seat next to Stormy, shoving her over some. Matt had to laugh as they went back and forth a bit with each other, getting settled in place. Matt was starting to take another bite of cereal when he suddenly found himself presented with what looked suspiciously like a very fresh, plump, juicy orange. "Heya Matt! You want?"
"That's an orange!" Matt's face lit up a bit. "The lunch lady was all 'we don't have orange juice so tough' and the fruit area soooo didn't have any oranges, where did you find that! Yeah I want! Trade ya for an apple?" Matt took the offered orange, then offered up the apple from his tray in exchange with a big smile.

Stormy was searching for an answer that wouldn't get her killed. She was glancing from side to side, hoping that Matt would just think she was looking for Nova. As if a prayer was answered, around that time, Nova came busting through the door nearly running a kid over. Another was startled enough to send his tray flying. He started trotting toward her table after looking around the room to find them.
Story felt relieved. Once again her 'angel bear' had come to her rescue. He bustled over and greeted them. "No-va!" she said as he kept shoving her over despite how much room he had. He apologized and struck up conversation almost immediately. Her fears of Matt had washed almost completely away.
After she finished her breakfast, Stormy cuddled up to Nova while keeping in conversation with the two of them.
Whew! Thank goodnes Nova came. I coulda been rabbit food!
She was still a little jumpy though. "You ok there Storm Cloud?" Nova snickered.
She nodded in response. After quite awhile, she looked at her watch. "Ack! If I don't get going soon, I won't make it to class in time! I've still gotta run back to the quad and get my books! See yas later!" Stormy gave Nova a quick kiss, and fumbling over him, before waving to Matt and all but running out the door.

When she reached the dorms, she turned and made sure she was alone. Then she raced for her books, and off to class.

The next day Stormy learned that Matt had actually found out about her and Nova last night.
Well, no wonder he was being nice yesterday! He didn't know. Hmm. I wonder how things will go today.
((From my understanding, Matt had became bitter. With her over active imagination, she seen him possibly squinting at something, but she thought he was glaring at her. Though, it has been confirmed that he does avoid her for awhile.))
