Rob Wallace says, "Good morning St. Joseph's! SKITTLES!

Post by November Bell »

I would like to create a new NPC. A gay boy based off an old famboyant friend of mine, Rob "Mother Fucking" Wallace. Rob is an outgoing, easily excitable, friendly boy who blurts out the most rediculous things. For example, when attendance in class was being taken instead of Rob saying "here" or "present" - Rob would gleefully shout out, "SKITTLES!" That was his catchphrase. Rob also speaks in a very un-pc and frank manner. Example, we had a very odd and androgynous small thing of a girl in class named "Kara". When I first saw her, I wasn't sure if she was a girl or a small boy myself. Anyway, Rob went up to her the first day of class and said, "Ok. What's the deal. Are you a boy or a girl?"

Not only that, but he had a very peculiar and fond way of addressing people. He'd call everyone a "Crazy ho" or "Stupid bitch". Example: "Oh my GOD, I've missed you so much you stupid bitch!" or "I love you, you crazy ho." Rob/NPC Rob is very much obsessed with the singer/performer Cher.

Some other background on the real Rob: At 18, Rob married a 54 year-old woman for her money. NPC Rob won't be married. He'll be 17. Rob was just a crazy wacky guy who did things on impulse.
Rob was also extremely promiscuous. He used to tell me tales about his sexual endeavors. Most were ludicrous, such as the day he walked into his apartment to find a guy robbing his stuff. What did Rob do? He didn't call the police, instead, Rob smoked up with the guy and gave him head. Oh, and the times he had sex with his nextdoor neighboors (a "straight" couple) and tried to get !ME! involved (OH GOD, THAT WAS AN AWKWARD NIGHT). NPC Rob will be just as skanky.

NPC Rob, however, will be as big around as he is tall (think Damian from Mean Girls!). He is half-Jewish and half-Catholic, his mother being Jewish and his father being Catholic. But they split when he was about 7 and stayed with his estranged father.

NPC Rob has dark eyes and hair, with freckles peppering his nose. He doesn't have a lisp but his voice can be rathery shrill, mostly because everything he says has a lot of fervor.

He loves haute couture, dresses very well and smells good. He's a big ol' tank, with the power to manipulate boulders and earth.

Some of his obvious faults are that he's exhausting, gossipy, gullible, shallow, nosey, trampy, and is very much into drugs(mostly herb - i realize that this may not qualify as a "fault" to most people, but i happen to think it is).

He makes the morning announcements and is involved with student commitee, organizing fundraisers and dances. Despite his flamboyance, most guys think he's pretty funny and girls love having "girl talk" and going shopping with him. He's the ultimate "Fag Hag Fag".

Outside he is loud and proud about his sexuality, but alone he is very much ashamed. Since he has spent most of his life with his father, Rob is a devout Catholic and prays to God every night begging for forgiveness and the ability to "change".

Rob is usually not a target for teasing because of his size and strength, and he is generally well-liked. His alias is open to suggestion.

Yay or nay?

I would tend to say, tone him down a little. Remember that we're somehow supposed to be PG-13. And yes, Bell I am totally looking at you, darling. He cannot be so un-PC that he compromises that. Which may mean that "crazy ho" = fine, "stupid bitch" = not so fine. And the promiscuity would need some kid gloves. Probably not going down on Solomon Able as he stalkes the hallways. Eww. I just actually typed that. No going back now.

But as for an openly gay student, even an abrasive one? No objections here. I'm actually thinking of doing a great NPC drive soon, so this might be the first shot fired in that war.

I like the idea of him doing morning announcements, though.

I would, however, encourage others to think about this and be honest about it. Bell is a big girl and can handle input.

Aw crud, why do we have to be PG-13 for? Real life in high school, even middle school, isn't ever really PG-13.

I should have been more clear about the "promiscuity" or "un-PC" aspect. There's no way that NPC Rob should be 100% similar to the real Rob in either way. I mean. Egh. Not that I'd mind, but I'm aware a lot of people would have a problem with things sounding hateful that aren't necessarily meant to sound that way, or the absurd and gratuitous sex. That was just the real Rob's life: Gratuitous, Explicit, and Excessive.

Hm. I never really thought about it, but do we have players in this SG that are under the age of 18?

But if he should be toned down, I have no qualms with that. And yea! I'm all ears to criticism.

P.S. My highschool was by no means even close to PG-13...but whaddya gonna do...

Aw, man...so he's a stone tank? I actually managed to reserve the "Rockabilly" name, too. If you ever want to make him "for real," let me know and you can have the name.

Wow....but uhh...Hey Mimi, we should probably move that over the COPPA thread..instead of right underneath the "gay boy" post, huh?

You know...just a thought.

The COPPA thread has a link to the text. Always has.

And since this is a private forum, it doesn't matter, really. But I may wind up trimming it out.

Yeah, as if the Privacy Act didn't already cover it... (which it may not) Although, when one is registering for their account on the site, they are asked if they are a) under 13 or b) 13, or older.
