Arly snickered as the darkness cleared, eying the scoreboard.

"Great. Case aint ever gonna let me live this one down"

She giggled and relaxed, happy nonetheless for not looking totally outta shape out there.

Mal blinked as the lights went out. He was in midair as it happened, and the sudden shocked combined with his always somewhat inexact jumping power caused him to flail around in a fashion no doubt quite amusing to onlookers. If the lights weren't out, anyway.

Mal hit the ground just as the shadows dissipated, landing squarely on his rear end. He looked up at the goal. He certainly hadn't been able to block it (he'd have felt it if he had), but there was always a chance that the shot....nope. The other team was cheering, and the scoreboard clearly indicated that he hadn't been successful.

Mal got up and dusted himself off. The natural urge, of course, was to beat himself up. He probably would later on. But really, he had done a lot better than he thought he would. That had to count for something. He looked approached Casey, and extended a hand.

"Um, good game. Good shot there, too."
"Go beyond the impossible, and kick reason to the curb!"

Casey nodded, a little dazed, and shook Mal's hand. "Thanks... good game, dude."
