The Boy Without A Heart: Mikael Geniusovich
“Wow this place has changed a lot.” Mikael's mother commented as she opened the door to the car and pulled him out carefully and took his hand. He looked around at the unfamiliar city his mother had called Brickstown curiously. The first thing to catch his eye was the massive building they had arrived in front of, The Zig. His mother started walking, leading Mikael toward the gate where several police officers stood. “Can we help you ma’am?” The lead officer asked as he moved to block our path.
“I’m here for my scheduled visit,” mom said as she handed the man a document. The guard read over the paper thoroughly before nodding slowly. He motioned to the others and the gate started opening with a mechanical grinding. We began walking again, a few of the guards following alongside us. We came to the building entryway and walked in through the massive steel doors.
Inside the building was a large reception room with barred off areas where secretaries sat doing paperwork and talking to people. Mom lead me to a chair and sat me down in it. “Stay here a moment Mikael.” She said sweetly and walked to the first window. Mikael watched the women and his mom talk back and forth for a while, unable to hear their conversation from across the room. After a long talk Mikael's mom started coming back to him so he plopped down out of the chair. “okay it’s time to go see you father…” His mom said with spite clear in her voice. Mikael looked up at her with an agitated and worried expression.
She looked down at him again, “you sure you want to do this?” He nodded and started walking toward the door again. They went through a handful of doors and turns before they came to a small room with a glass like barrier splitting it down the middle. A small cluster of chairs sat on this side and one sat on the other side. After a few moments a loud buzzer went off from the other side and two guards lead a short man in an orange jumpsuit into the room then left again with another loud buzz.
The old man with graying skin looked odd in the bright orange clothes. His left eye was a match to Mikael's own, a cybernetic implant. The man looked over Mikael and his mother analytically. “Hello again Natalya, it’s been what eight years now?” He broke the silence, greeting Mikael's mother by name. His voice was strange, monotone and calculated. Yet when he said Moms name there was a sense of caring that seemed out of place. Mom looked at him intently for a minute. “I see you brought Mikael.” He looked to me with a strange warm smile, somehow approving. “so what did you need,” He looked back to mom and his smile faded, “I know you didn’t come on a social visit?”
Mom started, “The doctors don’t know how to update the tech you used!” She was angry; that was obvious, she always was when it involved Mikaels “differences”. She continued, “We need you to build him new arms Gustav, ones that fit him.” Mom did not like letting him do this at all. Neither did the police.
Gustav laughed a harsh laugh that made mom wince. Mikael looked at her worriedly. Gustav stopped but the grin did not leave his face. “I’d be happy to oblige that,” He said, “he is my only son.” Gustav smiled that strange smile at Mikael again. Mikael looked back at his father, this pathetic looking man was once one of the greatest minds in paragon city. Now he was a prisoner, a lowly inmate at the worlds most infamous prison.
Mikael felt anger; not toward his father, but toward the people who drove him to such extremes. The scientific community rejected his brilliant theories and inventions, saying they were too dangerous. Without even hearing him out they shut his funding down. Which drove him to do what he did to Mikael. Mikael looked at his metallic arms that had grown too small for him. Gustav watched silently as Mikael looked at the arms.
“Fascinating inventions aren’t they my boy?” He stated more than asked. Grinning slightly as his son looked up at him. He smirked at Mikael's expression and turned to Natalya again. “That all you need my love?” He asked spitefully. Mom winced at the word love. “I thought so,” He made a motion and the guards came back to lead him out of the small room.

OOC: Mikael is extremely intelligent, thinks thing through, and doesn't (usually) act on the spur of the moment. He is not the most social person due to the fact he isn't used to being "normal". He is happy to participate in things but won't until asked to. He enjoys getting to know people but isn't going to initiate it in most cases. He's the one in the back of the group listening and thinking. Also has a tendency to call everyone by their full first name... he won't use a nickname unless you're a relative or someone special to him.
Info about him: Mikael is 16 years old. Loves Math, Science, and History. He is at an advanced level in both Math and Science, as he is a genius he does well in all subjects. Mikael lives off campus with his uncle(legal guardian) in Steel Canyon at his parents old place. Mikael's father is an infamous Villain known as Professor Genius.
If I think of more later I'll add.

Hi Mike! Um, can I call you Mike? My name is Malcolm, but you can call me Mal like most people. If you need any help around school or the city or in class, I can certainly help you out! So, hi!

Howdy Mikael! I'm Billi, an' I'm usually around. Hope Paragon treats ya good, besides the bullets an' acid-pukin' zombies.

[i15 update
Mikael has been adjusting to life in Paragon quite well. He has been getting along with the other students and has made some acquaintances in Hero Heights as well. Included among them is Masika Singleton, whom he is currently dating. He has started to converse with people more and has even began to start asking if he can come to gatherings and such. Rather than wait for an invitation.
Mik has also begun to grasp the full extent of his abilities. Making use of them in his heroic ventures in Paragon less and less hesitantly. Something he was very hesitant to do at first.]
