Heya Diary,
I just moved into the dorms officially today. There were some other students that pitched in, but there wasn't much to move. I've got the three saris that my mom let me keep, a bag of other clothes and my laptop. I would like to be able to say that they also let me keep that, but it's more that they didn't notice that it had survived the blast. The school was concerned that I could harm the building, so I get an extra special box to sleep in that keeps everyone around me safe. I can't begrudge them. I mean, I did destroy my house and get myself disowned. It's all official now... I got the letter from my father the day after I arrived in the states.
I started classes a few weeks ago and the other students seem to be welcoming enough. A guy named Casey even got me a PDA. It's like a mini pocket translator sometimes. I've already added urbandictionary to my list of favorites. Anyway, classes are fine. The teachers don't look at me oddly and I don't have a problem keeping up with the classwork.
I still have nightmares about the whole house thing. I'm coming to understand what I can do a bit better, but being thrown into a new environment didn't help make things any easier. At least I'm still right next to an ocean. Whenever things get to be too much, I can just go an sit on a dock and pretend I'm back home.
I've gotta get going. I'm supposed to go to Pocket D tonight.
