Kris nodded, and went along with Kali. The cockroach was a bit yucky, but the mention of the mouse made her a bit nervous. Finding a place to sit down, she picks up a moldy leather book, and thinks about how this came to be.

"Maybe this was the safest place the books could be stored during the Rikti Invasion," Kris offered to Kali. "It would certainly explain the condition of the poor books."

Picking up her cleaning utensils, Kris lovingly, and efficiently begins tending to the book she has, as though it were a wounded hero in need out in the field.

"In blessed memory of Sister Mercy (Sister Mary Catherine St. Claire {Dec 12, 1923 - unknown date})

Her memory lives on with St Joseph School as a testament to the good that can be done by healers at the scene of conflict."

Salvation lifts an eyebrow and leans back in her chair to see around the end of the shelf to Francis.

"What exactly are you looking for, Francis?"

Salvation puts her chair back on all four legs and got up to go to Francis with a heavy sigh. Once over there she looked up at the selection of books and then at Francis with a small smirk.

"Are you looking for a How To or a Why kind of book?"

"Hmmm....how about a little of each. As long as I don't have to see anything by a pop-psychologist called Dr. Firstname, ok."

Francis sratched her neck in idle embarrassment.

"I mean. seriously...boys are so confusing..."

Salvation stared at her for a long time, a frown on her face before folding her arms across her chest and giving the girl a look.

"Francis, there's no porn in the library if that's what you're looking for. The closest we have is some V.C. Andrews that never got screened when it was brought in, but I highly recommend that you DON'T base relationship advice off of those books."

She lifted an eyebrow, suddenly uncomfortable, "Shouldn't you be talking to the school counselor about this stuff?"

"You mean Conrads, What do I look like, nuts?!?" Francis' brow began to knit, "And besides, if I wanted porn I'd just steal it from the boy's quad."

"Oh ok fine...gimme something psychobabbly and I'll get out of your hair."

Salvation thought a minute and then stepped around the corner with a smile.

There was a pause before she came back and put a book in Francis's hands, patting the girl on the shoulder twice before walking away.

When Francis looked down, she was holding a copy of "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret"

She could hear Salvation chuckling as she went back to her desk.

*sigh*

Francis shook her head and stuffed the book in her backpack with a heavy roll of her eyes.

Damn nuns....

She tried not to shoulder check a student on the way into the library as she exited for her late afternoon Geophysics of Ley Lines class.
