My name is Violin.
As you can tell, I am one of the new freshmen this year at St. Joe's. My name is Amy Davis...no...my name is Violin.
It started after a car accident. A cliche I know, but in this car accident no one died. My parents are fine and for the most part, so am I. The problem was, glass from the windshield scattered into my eyes when we hit the traffic signal. We went to Chiron Medical Center to see some of the best doctors in opthomology and they got the glass out just fine.
And then, I began to regenerate.
No one in the hospital even batted an eyelash. I can only imagine that a girl spontaneously healing wounds and drying up blood with her skin in the ER was pretty common in Paragon City, especially these days.
They diagnosed me....as super. We were all pretty surprised. As far as anyone could tell, we had gotten out of the first explosions of the Rikti invasion a few years back without a scratch.
But this is where the kicker comes in. I regenerated all right. But whatever my body decided to regenerate weren't eyes. I don't know what they are...but they can't see.
Yes, I'm blind.
Don't worry, I'm ok with it. Now I can only see with my hands and my ears, if people talk to me or let me touch their face. I'm not a sonic (though I wish I was) and I don't have super human hearing. I have normal human hearing, which as I have discovered, is pretty spectacular. Most people who can see never notice it, and wonder how I can get around. Close your eyes and listen sometime...your ears tell you more than you think.
I have my white cane when I'm around campus, but I fold it up into my jacket when I'm out. In the city, I do alot of running, which usually means I trip and fall alot...but it's ok. My regeneration at least picks up that part of the tab.
I just wish I could figure out what my body keeps trying to regenerate. It doesn't always seem to be me.
Thanks for the chance, St. Joe's.

Welcome, Violin. I understand, to some extent your problem. I had an empathic disease that forced me to feel what everyone else felt, for awhile. After having been cured, though... It's just not the same. Almost like being cheated of a sense. I hope you find your experiences her, fulfilling, and if you should ever need assistance, when I'm around, just let me know.

Walk toward the sound of giggling and the smell of Herbal Essences hair products.Violin wrote:What a welcome! Thank you everyone.

Now, can anyone tell me which direction the girls dormatory is?
Although you might end up in Austin's room by mistake that way...
This will require some thought...
He smiles at the description of the cafeteria, and at being called 'cute'.
"I'd be careful if you're following smells to find the cafeteria. You're just as liable to find the trash bins if you do that." He hold an arm out for her to grasp hold of, running it slightly under her hand letting her know it's there. "I'll show you where the cafeteria is. Wouldn't do for you to wind up near the dumpsters" He laughs lightly. "I'll even try to trip less than normal on the way there.
"I've been known to sind a note here or there. Some people even think I sound good from time to time." Purposefully omitting his own name, he'd rather make a friend who may not know who he is.
