Summer burst out laughing, "HAH! Least you're freaking direct." She admitted.
She looked across the table, "Look Matt, I liked you because you were reclusive and quiet. I like that, and that' why if I see Crono acting like... well Crono, I get annoyed. The less people have to say, the more I enjoy being with them. Oh and the fact that I'm protecting my investment in getting you a social life."
She hoped the words wouldn't cut too deep, "No offense mind you."

"Oh... So this was all about just getting me out and actually doing stuff with people..." Matt said finally after a while of thought. 'Heh, shoulda known better... Why would anyone just out of the blue say 'they like you'. What a fool I was...'

"Of course. I'll just be here." Matt said as he watched Summer head off to the bathroom. He couldn't help but feel somewhat aggrivated that he had let his emotions run so controlling over himself for the last bit...
'Dummie, Dummie, DUMMIE!' Matt cursed allowed in his head, 'Why would someone like you all of a sudden, I mean come on... You have your head in either books or clouds, no one would notice you... Instead you let yourself get all worked up and let someone pull a little experiment on you in hopes of proving a point... Grrr, DUMMIE!'
Matt quickly took a few deep breaths and tried to regain his composure. 'Settle down Matt... So you got played for a fool, you deserved it since you played the part down to a T. Just finish this off with dignity and pride and you can work out your annoyance some other way later on...'
Taking a quick sip of his drink, Matt waited patiently for Summer to return to the table. Secretly he hoped that the food would arrive soon so he could be rid of this whole situation...

You need to fix this, he's thoroughly pissed now and you've ruined his entire night.

The door to the women's restroom burst open and two people came out in masks. They had Mac 10's pointed at everyone, their faces hidden. One of them had Summer in their clutches with a gun to her head.

The woman clutched Summer tighter and pressed the barrel of the gun to her head almost to the point of breaking skin. Summer looked at Matt, she was too into him to realize this was the place that would be on the news later.

Matt was at first caught off guard by the sudden appearance of thugs in the Pizzeria, though it wasn't uncommon in Paragon for crime to strike at anytime... Here was just too convienent. Trying to play the part of the helpless teen, Matt slowly slid out of the bench seat. The thug immediately waved his gun at Matt as to remind him not to do anything dumb.
"I'm just reaching for my wallet, hard to get it out sitting down." Matt sad as he slowly moved his hand to grab his wallet.
'I need to do something here... But there are just so many innocents that could get hurt... No... I just have to do something, Synapse has been helping me control my powers, I'm sure... No, I know I can take both of these thugs before they even realized what hit them.'
As he tucked his hand into his back pocket, Matt gave Summer a look that almost screamed to her, 'Get down, now!'
Looking up briefly at the lights, Matt let out a sigh and felt a sudden rush of adrenaline. In a brilliant flash erupting from the nearby light fixtures above, Matt flashed a ball of light around his fist and spun it right around into the thug pointing the gun at him. Quickly continuing with his momentum, he opened his palm towards the second thug holding Summer and prayed she got his signal as he released a huge torrent of energy.

Summer reached up, grabbed the woman's mid-section and yanked her out of the way as the bolt flew past. It would've killed the woman, she knew that and no one needed to die tonight. The mac went off with a braap, the bullets ripping pieces of the wall out in tiny explosions. Summer felt her temper boil over. She grabbed the Mac, twisted it out of the woman's hand, kept hold of her wrist and kicked her in the ribs breaking them with her shoe. If she screamed, they didn't know, the blood choked it before it reached the mouth. Summer pulled her back using her arm like an elastic rope and tripped her with her foot face planting her into the pizzaria floor witha crack.
"Broken nose, two ribs busted, the guy over there has three impacted bones in three diffrent places which means it'll be a long time for him to get out of therapy." Summer said, her glow lighting the darkened parlor.
"Just to let you know, this wasn't staged, I was too busy trying to fix this mess up I did with you that I didn't realize this was going to happen. If I'd kept myself from messing up, we'd've had out Pizza and taken it out after we finished these two off."
She looked down at the two of them, "I can heal their wounds, fix that woman's ribcage and that man's shattered shoulder." Her tone was cold and harsh.
She bent down next to the guy, put her hand on her chest and watched the arms rebuild themselves correctly. His chest inflated with blood bubbles coming out of his nose. She took her hand off him and walked over to the woman and rolled her over. Her nose was broken from the fall, Summer pinched her nose and watched the body go back to normal. She rose up, her glow still lighting the whole room.
"Before you ask, I have arachnos training, these two could've been handled without having to cause too much trouble but Summer isn't ready to know this. I want this to be our little secret okay Matt?"
Her gaze was eating into Matt like a bull, "Either way, you'll have to catch me because Summer is unconscious and requires a little bit of assistance or she'll hit the ground and injure her forehead and be in the hospital."
Summer's eyes closed and her body went limp like a sack of potatoes.

Stunned at what he had heard, Matt barely had enough time to quickly register that Summer was indeed falling to the ground. Without even thinking, Matt 'ported just in time to catch her from smashing her face into the ground.
He let out a sigh of relief to see that she was alright but was even more concerned what had just occurred there... It was like there was another Summer present and then just left without a trace... It was creepy.
Matt snapped back to reality when he realized he was being watched by all the patrons of the Pizzeria. 'Shit... Um... If I stay here, there will be cops, news, and all other bunch of stuff I don't need to deal with tonight... Plus more things for Summer to look back on to have more questions about...'
Clutching Summer tightly in his arms, Matt 'ported out of the Pizzeria and as fast as he could back to the school, all the way back to Summer's room. He knew he would be in even more trouble if he was caught, so he quietly placed Summer on her bed. Looking around he couldn't help but bothered by the events of tonight.
