Pica, I showed you like six times where the zoom lens is! Just let me take the picture next time.
Also...pictures come out better during the daytime.

I can see maybe upping the max height, maybe to 120 pixels. Upping the max width could cause display issues, as the theme probably wasn't made to accomdate larger avatars.
Perhaps the max file size could be nudged up to 8 KB. I don't think it should be too big though, because that makes pages load slower.
But honestly -- why can't you all just use portraits? I'd rather get a good look at your face than a smallish look at your whole body. Unless we make the avatars huge, they won't allow for much detail--and huge means longer page loads. I don't need to load a full body image of Picayune every time she posts something, no matter how pretty she is.
Besides, when people talk, they look at each others' faces. They don't take ten steps back and watch the whole picture.

I'll agree that Picayune is very pretty and we'd all love to see more full-body shots, but I can see Eric's logic, and totally agree: headshots allow for more detail while keeping the sizes fairly small. There's a place for larger pictures, and the many threads with screenshots on them are proof of that, but I don't think it's necessary to have huge pictures beside everyone's name for every post they make. Even in interviews and such on TV, 95% of the time what you see is just a person's head and chest... that's all people really pay attention to when they talk anyway. (and no, I'm not suggesting that we stare at people's chests, just... well, you know what I mean! lol)Eric Copper wrote: But honestly -- why can't you all just use portraits?
