Crash and Burn, ashes to the wind.

Post by Jay Taggert »

Dear Jay,

Son it’s been some time now since I have seen you. I can’t tell you where I am at. I know it’s what I say every time. I knew that the school would be good for you, bring some stability to your life. I know you don’t like it there, I don’t blame you. Since your mother died I have always tried to make things easier for you, I knew this place could take care of your special situation. From what the Nuns tell me that you’re slipping in some of your classes but still holing a decent grade no matter, I am just glad there is not a notice sitting on my desk saying you failed on of those courses they have you doing.

If you haven’t herd already I have made Coronal. I know you probably don’t care but this brings me into a position to where I can help you even more. I, for some time now have been searching for a way to cure you of your problem. Before I left the states I came to know a doctor that can help you. His research for this company is very important and I know he can help you, yes there is almost a 100% chance he can cure you. I have agreed to turn you over to his care and out of the care of St. Joes. I have arranged for a college of mine Lieutenant Gates; he will be transporting you to a facility out of state. I want you to show the good doctor some respect Jay. He dose not have to do this for us. Lieutenant Gates will be there for you to make sure your safe. I want your things packed and ready within the next week. The Lieutenant has been given the authority to discharge you on my behalf.

~Signed~
Coronal Jim Taggert USAF.

He held the letter in his hand. This was the third time he read through the cold black and white on the paper. The room was quite it was only him, the door to his room open and wide some students talking amongst themselves passed, though it was as if the world around him was silent.

“...Finally…” It escaped his lips.
