Even tho moon wasn't in the story, he would have heard about it on campus, plus being the roomates of Bryan and Jason, I'm sure he'd be upset about it. However, Moon has little intrest in robotics and such. This combined with the same powerset as Mana (emp/energy) would confuse the hell out of him.

I think he could be both wondering how the same powers he has, altho from different sources (tech vs magic) combined with unable to help his roommates would make him feel bad about the whole thing. Not so much of "I should have been there!" but "Damn, I wish I could have been there." if that makes any sense.

In the end, knowning that everyone will be fine, he would dwell more on how someone that is so much like him (yet so different) could hurt the people who were considered friends. Moon wouldn't understand very much about why it happened. I think in any future meetings (rp wise), if he was assued that Mana would never do this again, he would still be very weary of Mana.

By the way, I enjoyed the posts from everyone involved. If there is more to this, I can't wait to read it.

[Jason's going to be avoiding him like the plague. Like it or not, what he did was dead wrong. He knew about the crey progamming and said nothing until it was too late.]

<ooc> I need to point something out.

What about the legal system? This was a case of multiple, premeditated assault, possibly attempted murder. Is that going to be ignored?

How is the school admin going to react? Yes, this is a school for kids with special talents but one of them just decided to attack his classmates.

Beyond SJS, there are consequences to actions. This whole "superhero" thing assumes we're all registered with some government administration, have guidelines, and commit only violence that there are dispensations for.
</ooc>
Nick would want to hear all sides of the story so he would visit Mana where he was recovering. Of course, he'd want to hear what happened from Sammy, Jase, Bryan, and Joni first.

OOC:

Bryan won't be "pressing charges" or anything against Mana. He's not mad at him either, just disappointed in him. He knew something was wrong and chose to try and deal with it himself.

He may visit Mana, I'm not sure.

He's not going to hate Mana for what's ahppened but he may avoid him for a while.

OOC:

Where she was once very warm to Mana, encouraging him to develop his personality and exercise his sentience, Aeon is now avoiding him altogether. She feels she made a mistake in trusting him and in defending him, thus possibly enabling the situation to get so out of hand. If they cross paths, she looks like she has a lot to say, but stays quiet.

She is torn-up existentially. On one hand, she wants to emphasize that Mana is an android while she is a cyborg. Conversely, she feels some sort of camaraderie toward him because of their similar situations. Mostly she's terrified of having to deal with, or just being accused of being predisposed to the same sort of behavior.

The basis for this fear: everyone has probably heard through the grapevine that Aeon is the slave of some pre-programming, causing her to miss class often and has resulted in her run-in with the Clockwork recently. What she has purposely kept mostly secret and, now more than ever, would like to keep that way is that she is outfitted with a lot of proprietary Crey hardware.

((Joni is, to put it bluntly, slightly traumatized. Since the doctors figured out the "constantly give her heat" trick when she was two, she has frozen herself a total of four times in her life, not counting the Mana kidnapping. Three of those times she was awake (well, aware) for more than an hour of it, and she had what could best be described as a claustrophobic attack. For the next few days, she was scared to death of either being caught without a heat source or falling asleep (the doctors had to sedate her for the latter).

Those times, no one was at fault. This time, someone she had originally trusted kidnapped her from her heat source, re-rendered her unconscious so she couldn't draw heat consciously, and allowed her to go into cryostasis. On top of all the usual effects, Joni won't be able to look at Mana without having bad flashbacks; it's going to be a long while before she's able to approach him again, assuming she ever decides she wants to.))

[ooc: ok on behalf of the school, Tharsis White would very likely be stoping by to speak with both Mana and his "family". Of course given Mana is coming back to school, she will be keeping an eye on him........very close]

Persiflage is angry at Mana. She believes he is a person, not a machine--that, in other words, the he is more than the sum of his parts or his programming.

She's holding a private trial for him; if he can take responsibility for his actions, he is a dangerous person but a redeemable one. If he can't, he is no longer a person, but a machine. Machines don't have the same rights as living people.

Machines can be shut down.

Persiflage also has contacts in the Rogue Isles; Mana Cannon may end up with a nemesis out of this whole situation.

OKay on behalf of Mana's defence as his played remember this He did check himself over just not with his Family or the school because he felt they would banish him/destroy him/shut him down and take him apart he felt since his fualt for waiting for Joni so long he should deal with this as his pentance for it. He knew he might be dangerous thats why he talked to Sam and Bryan about is asking for help. Plus he did fight it and keep the program from killing Jase Bryan and Joni when it could have that I believe should count for something. But yes he now knows what he did was very wrong and should have asked for more help but he was scared and After Sam "killed" him the part that was Crey was destroyed and after Magnus and Divinity repaired him the went over all of his systems and made sure it was gone. He is tramatized by what happened and hates himself for allowing it to happen to those he cared most about. The Crey programing knew who he cared for most and tried to take them out first. Its the same as if some with Multiple Personalities knew they had it and did nothing about it even though they knew it could be dangerous. Yes it was stupid and yes he is horrified that no one will ever trust him again and he probably will never be friends with Joni Jase Sam or a few others because of this. But do know [later add in story piece] that he will explain everything to all of them and he may even leave the school dorms [though please dont kick me out of the SJS I love it too much!!!]

((this is all OOC))

Our poor Mana. **patpats the player on the back**

See, this is the darkside of making your toon the center of attention, especially negative circumstances. This is why, generally, when shit goes down it's better to have the red-shirted ensign take the fall.

Mana, I think everyone in the story knows what's going on, as players, we're just RPing stuff out. Nobody hates you. Nobody wants you to leave SJS! We like you. We like you!

It's an interesting story, it's bringing out ideas and dimensions of my character, and probably others, that I didn't know were there. On an RP level, it's an extremely good story for that reason--it gives people a lot of chances to do some thinking about their toons, and how to RP the situation.

I think you're feeling, though, as a player, sad, isolated, and rejected because of the way people are reacting to your toon. This may be the first time you, as a good-natured and nice person/player, are dealing with situations of rejection and anger from your friends. Maybe you didn't fully appreciate the ramifications of this RP direction with the toon--that's okay, that happens! Please know it's just make-believe, we can call a time-out, we can pause, and we should definitely reassure you that we, as players, like you.

This is for you.
/hugs.

((OOC))

I've made Voritex's feelings VERY clear on this matter. I will stand by Mana till the bitter end, not because he thinks Mana has an excuse, but because it's a dark road he's wandering down, and no one makes it out without a friend.

Afterall, the only diffrence between Mana and Voritex is Mana's made of steel and circuitry and Abe's flesh and blood. As soon as I finish part one of my little story, you'll see what I mean, but in the mean time, Abe will stick to Mana like white on rice. To Abe, if you want to judge Mana, you need to judge him too.

Afterall, us Weapons need to stick together....
