About the Dorms
All characters enrolled at Saint Joseph School must live on campus in the dormitories unless their family lives in Paragon City. If their family lives in Paragon City, they have the option of living with their parents and becoming a day student. Students may not live off campus under any other circumstances.

The dorm roster above is meant to be representative. There are approximately 300 students at SJS, and roughly half of those are PC characters. If a student is not listed on the dorm roster, it does not mean they do not live on campus. It merely means that they live in an unspecified dorm room, like most of the rest of the student body.

Day students who live off campus with their families are also noted above. All day students should be on this list. Please comment in the thread below if your character should be added.

The dorm roster is meant to give players an opportunity to have quadmates for roleplay and fiction purposes. Any student is welcome to request a dorm room in the thread below after they have come off probation.

Dorm assignments are completely optional. If you are not interested in roleplaying about your quadmates, you do not need to request a dorm assignment. If you have a dorm assignment and find that you aren't roleplaying it out and don't wish to keep it, you are allowed to request to be removed from the roster to move into an unspecified dorm room.

Since probationary characters may not immediately request a dorm assignment, here are two recommended ways to roleplay your housing situation initially:

• Your character is living in temporary housing until a room assignment can be made. The specifics of temporary housing vary but typically consist of some beds set up in the auxiliary gym. This option is often used by players who intend to request a dorm assignment after they've posted a bio and come off probation.
• Your character is living in an unspecified dorm room. This option is often used by players who do not intend to request a dorm assignment. However, you may also use this option if you do want a dorm assignment; you can simply roleplay that your first dorm room was temporary, and that you've been reassigned to the new room once you've been placed on the dorm roster.

On occasion, a student may have special needs that cannot be accommodated within the dormitories. If you feel your student requires special habitation arrangements, you can petition for consideration below.

Someone asked me the other day what room David Andrias (Candlestick) was in. There was some confusion, because there seemed to be the impression that if he wasn't listed on this thread, he must not be living on campus.

So let me reiterate something: the original purpose of this thread was to allow people to have quadmates for the purposes of their fiction and roleplay. Not having "a room assignment" on this thread doesn't mean you don't have a room. In fact, there are roughly 140 NPCs not listed on this thread, and they all live on campus. Just everyone keep that in mind: when someone isn't on this thread, it is more a sign that their quad is not a key feature to their roleplay than a sign that they don't live in the dorms.

I cleaned up the assignments as per the recent roster changes, and the boys' dorm is looking pretty sparse. Officially, starting now until when I feel like it, I will consider applications for consolidating quads or adding NPCs to quads for RP purposes. Okay, so I've always considered applications, but this is a reminder to speak up if you're unhappy with the current arrangements because I'll be more accommodating given the state of things.

It's a misshapen room made by the finishing of salvaged attic space. The housing office normally doesn't fill it unless there's a specific need such as the dormitory being full or a student with special habitation requirements that don't require accommodation in the science wing. So, fat chance, buddy.

Neither Matt nor Jeff are going to be around enough for a while to build much in the way of roommate relationships, and I haven't really established too much with their current roommates. So, please take them both off the dorm roster. No sense in them taking up a spot when I'm not doing anything RP-wise with it. They'll still live on campus. They'll just be in some unspecified rooms.
